UR Sugar’s Jelly Cat Eye range is a hybrid product that combines two distinct nail techniques — the translucent jelly gel finish and the magnetic cat eye effect. Standard cat eye gels create a streak on an opaque colour background. Jelly cat eye gels create a streak that appears to float within a semi-transparent colour base, giving the cat eye effect a three-dimensional quality where the shimmer streak seems suspended inside the nail rather than sitting on its surface.

Jelly Base + Cat Eye Effect

The jelly base of the UR Sugar JC range means the nail is translucent rather than opaque. Light passes through the colour layer rather than reflecting off it. When the cat eye streak is added within this translucent base, the streak catches the light from within the depth of the gel rather than from a flat opaque surface. The visual result is more dimensional and complex than a standard cat eye on an opaque base — particularly striking on lighter or jewel-toned translucent shades.

15ml Professional Volume

At 15ml the UR Sugar Jelly Cat Eye polishes provide more product per bottle than standard 7ml or 10ml cat eye gels, making them practical for regular professional salon use.

Glossy or Matte — Your Choice

UR Sugar Jelly Cat Eye polishes are compatible with both glossy super top coat and matte top coat. A glossy top coat enhances the luminous quality of the jelly base and the reflective intensity of the cat eye streak simultaneously. A matte top coat over the jelly cat eye creates an unusual combination of matte surface texture over a translucent glowing colour — a distinctive advanced nail aesthetic.

Colour Accuracy Note

Jelly cat eye gels appear differently depending on lighting conditions — the jelly translucency changes with natural vs artificial light, and the cat eye streak changes with light angle. The actual shade may vary slightly compared to the displayed product image.

Application

1. Apply base coat and cure
2. Apply one coat of Jelly Cat Eye gel and cure fully
3. Apply a second coat — do not cure
4. Hold the cat eye magnet close to the wet gel for 20–30 seconds until the streak is clear
5. Cure under UV or LED lamp
6. Seal with glossy or matte top coat and cure
