How Chrome Powder Works
Chrome powder creates its mirror finish through a specific application process. Apply a no-wipe gel top coat or chrome gel base to cured gel colour and do not cure it. While the gel surface is still tacky, take a small amount of chrome powder on an eyeshadow applicator or silicone tool and rub it firmly onto the gel surface in small circular motions. The friction and the tacky surface cause the metallic particles in the powder to bond and align, creating the mirror finish. Cure after achieving the desired effect and seal with a no-wipe top coat.
