Meem’z Sanding Bands for Nail Drill – 80 Grit
80 grit is the coarsest sanding band in the Meem’z range and is specifically for situations where rapid material removal is needed. Filing down significant thickness from a heavily grown-out set, removing the bulk of a full acrylic set before an acetone soak, or addressing a very thick extension that needs to be thinned down quickly are the primary applications for this grit. The aggressive abrasion cuts through product fast but leaves a scratched surface that requires subsequent filing with finer grits to achieve a smooth result.

Important Application Note
80 grit is an aggressive abrasive and should not be used close to the natural nail or skin. It is strictly for product removal on areas safely away from the nail plate surface. If the abrasion reaches the natural nail with 80 grit it will cause significant nail plate damage. Switch to 120 grit or finer as soon as bulk removal is complete and you begin working closer to the nail surface.
Grit Progression for Professional Results
Start with 80 grit for bulk removal, switch to 120 grit for shaping and surface filing, then 180 grit for refinement, and finish with a buffing block for the final smooth surface before top coat. Never skip from 80 grit directly to finishing without the intermediate steps.
