While a dehydrator removes oils from the nail surface, a primer creates an actual chemical bond between the nail plate proteins and the product applied above it. This chemical bond is fundamentally stronger than surface adhesion alone and directly improves retention between nail appointments.
How Nail Primer Works
Primer molecules have a dual structure. One end binds to the natural nail plate surface and the other end binds to the gel base coat or acrylic product above it.
